Chicken Liver Pate

Ingredients:
450g chicken livers
¼ cup butter
1 small clove garlic
1 apple, quartered and cored
½ cup light cream
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon salt
Dash each, allspice, cloves, nutmeg, pepper
1 ½ tablespoons brandy or scotch

Method:
Clean and dry livers on paper towel.
Cut into smaller pieces.
In skillet sauté livers in melted butter until they lose their pink colour.
Stir occasionally.
Position knife blade in electric food processor.
Drop garlic, add onion and apple.
Pulse to chop coarsely.
Add apple mixture to livers and cook about 5 minutes.
Place mixture in blender jar. Pour cream into skillet to combine with pan juices.
Pour over livers and add seasonings.
Process at blend speed until smooth, about 1 minute.
Add brandy.
Stop and stir once or twice.
