Antiguan French Toast
Ingredients:
4 very thick pieces of unsliced bread,
2 bananas
2 eggs
2/3rd cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1 cup desiccated coconut
Unsalted butter for frying
Maple syrup
Method:
Make a slit in the bread, to form a pocket.
Slice the banana and fill inside the bread pocket.
Beat the egg and milk, add vanilla.
Dip filled bread into mixture and coat with desiccated coconut.
Fry filled bread in butter until brown. S
erve with maple syrup.
